Philippines First Green Contact Center

convergyslogo1Asian country like Philippines is never too late when speaking of initiatives in Green Technology. Recently one of the biggest contact center in the country announces a huge project that concerns overhauling the Planet.

Here’s what the news all about,  Convergys Corporation, a global leader in relationship management, announces the simultaneous grand dedication of three new state-of-the-art facilities in the Philippines, including a “green” contact center to be known as the Nuvali TechnoHub. The dedication was performed today by Her Excellency, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, president of the Republic of the Philippines, with Convergys President and CEO Dave Dougherty, and other senior executives in attendance.

The Nuvali TechnoHub, Convergys’ first “green” contact center, where the ceremony actually took place, along with two other contact centers in the Philippines, Cebu i3 in Cebu City, and the UP-Ayala Land TechnoHub in Quezon City, were all officially dedicated as part of a simultaneous dedication ceremony linked together by huge TV screens and communications satellites.

Dougherty, along with Andrea Ayers, president of Convergys’ Customer Management business, and Marife Zamora, Convergys Vice President and Philippines Country Manager, welcomed President Macapagal-Arroyo to the “green” facility and showed her some of its sustainability features.
